Book page Sept. 20

In the Sabbath meeting this week a theory was brought forth on the new heaven and the new earth Yahweh has promised to bring to pass in Isa. 65. It was proposed that the new heaven would be for those resurrected with a spiritual body and the new earth would be for those resurrected with a physical body. I have heard variations of this idea before. When I looked up heaven both in the new and the old testaments it always refers to the sky as we know it. The New Testament adds that in Christianity there is the assumption that it can also refer to the abode of Yahweh, the angels, and eventually the resurrected saints in spiritual bodies.

Webster agrees except for the passage in Deuteronomy 26.15.

(Deu 26:15 KJV)  Look down from Thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless Thy people Israel, and the land which Thou hast given us, as Thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

All the commentaries agree with Webster, but the word translated heaven is still the sky above us which appears to be endless.

As to there being two classes at the resurrection of the righteous I do not find scriptural evidence to support such a theory. Isa. 65.17-25 plainly states a new heaven [sky] and a new earth [terra firma] as the habitation of Yahweh’s redeemed.

While praying for the various feast sites my mind drifted to a particular site, and this is true of many other sites as well. From my perspective one of their problems stem from a policy forbidding discussion of conflicting beliefs. Would it not be better to set up a forum for open discussion limiting what if anything outside of scripture can be brought forth. You cannot fight falsehoods by refusing to allow them to be spoken in the light, for they will then hide and not surface until their dirty work is done.

I am endeavoring to accomplish one of Yahweh’s hardest commandments – which one? The command to rest, to cease. This year the Feast of Trumpets fell on the 6th day of the week. That makes two consecutive days of ceasing. Think of it! Two days of resting, joined together, make 48 hours of ceasing except for study and worship. When we strive to come into agreement with Yahweh’s word He does His part by giving you plenty of practice. It reminded me of when I asked Him to give me patience. Like to have done me in with all the practice I got, and I am still having to practice.

My study group is cohesive in that we are drawn together by common central beliefs, but we are diverse in some ways such as how to walk out those beliefs. It is especially noticeable in how to pronounce certain words, to refuse to use certain words in reference to our heavenly Father and His Son. When we gather together we try to adhere to those words that do not offend. We are bound by the leading of Yahweh for our individuality. That respect is shown in the polite love shown in meetings and in our private contacts, via electronics, in the week days. Because there is love of the body as a whole and individually we are a small but solid body.

I have just read Hosea 11.3 “but they knew not that I had healed them.” That was me after Yahweh gave me the healing I asked for and I continued to suffer rather than acknowledge His complete healing. What I forgot to ask for was a complete spiritual healing as well.

Did you ever meet a teacher or preacher who didn’t love to talk about the subject they hold dear?

!!!!

Can it be said of us as it was of Danial in Danial 6.5?

(Dan 6:4 KJV)  Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

(Dan 6:5 KJV) Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his Almighty.

When we fight the laws of the land we live in we need to be sure those laws are against Yahweh and His teachings lest we be found to be fighting against Yahweh since He decides who rules where.

Things to consider when picking a mate:

Spiritual health – are you both on the same page? Do not lie to yourself about this area as without agreement both will be unhappy, and the odds are against the one with the highest principal being allowed to live up to them, in peace, over the long haul.

Diet – Do you both like the same kinds of food? Do one of you have dietary restrictions? And if so does that mean that food will be 100% exempt from your diet as well?

Sleeping requirements – Can you sleep together in the same bedroom and or bed comfortably? Window open/closed? Heat lowered or not? Left side or right side of the bed. How many pillows? Lots of covers against the cold or an electric blanket?

Money – everyone needs a budget, both for the household and personal. Who brings in the money? Who says how it is spent? How much are you willing to see go outside the household? Who is responsible to see the bills are paid? Money management is one of the most common areas of disagreement in relationships.

Personal friendships – Do those relationships weaken or strengthen the couples relationship? Should long standing relationships with others of the opposite sex remain, if so what are the boundaries set to protect the new relationship? What about friendships with the same sex? How much of the partners time and assets will go in that direction?

Work – Who will be responsible for what? Corporate employment with an aim to advancement is very time consuming, as is private ownership of a business, so how far, what are you willing to give up in the relationship to see the partner reach their goals? What about work at the residence? Lawn, garbage, windows, cooking, sweeping, dishes, etc. The list is long.

Personal time and assets – Most everyone I have ever met has something they do alone, or with a group that may not be suitable for the new partner, or their presence may just be unacceptable. Is this acceptable to both? How much of the income or other assets of the household/person would be acceptable as a cost for this item? Are both of you desiring quality or quantity time together? And can you agree on what is sufficient in either?

Children – to have or not, and what if it turns out the Almighty decides differently? How will you handle that. I had neighbors who loved children and wanted more than one until circumstances put two little girls in their house for the summer and they found out how much their lives would have to change to accommodate children. One thing I know is that unless you have had day in, day out personal training none of us are prepared to raise a child born with a rebellious spirit.

This is a starter list! As you spend time together there will be a lot of the nitty gritty of life to sort out. My advise?

When you disagree kneel before Yahweh and ask Him to enter in and be the judge. This is the first step to an acceptable solution to every problem.
