Because You Trusted In Me

April 4, 2020

[Written 3/9/20]

[I was reading in Jeremiah and the above phase touched my heart. It is so true, it is because we trust Yahweh that He saves us from troubles. Not all troubles, because we have free will and we will have our own way at times. But even then when we repent He saves us from destruction.]

2Sa 22:1-7 And David spake unto Yahweh the words of this song in the day that Yahweh had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul: 22:2 And he said, Yahweh is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; 22:3 The Almighty of my rock; in Him will I trust: He is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. 22:4 I will call on Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. 22:5 When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of unrighteous men made me afraid; 22:6 The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me; 22:7 In my distress I called upon Yahweh, and cried to my Almighty: and He did hear my voice out of His temple, and my cry did enter into His ears.

[No matter where we are in physical relation to Yahweh in our minds He is always near for He is everywhere. There is no place you can go to get away from Him and no place you can be sent where He will not be there. It is not a sin to be afraid of the unrighteous! Even if they slay us Yahweh is there allowing us to die and be put out of the reach of all evil. But the harder thing is to continue to live and still give Yahweh the honor and to magnify His name when it seems everyone and everything is against us.]

(2Sa 22:16-22 KJV) And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of Yahweh, at the blast of the breath of His nostrils. 22:17 He sent from above, He took me; He drew me out of many waters; 22:18 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me. 22:19 They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but Yahweh was my stay. 22:20 He brought me forth also into a large place: He delivered me, because He delighted in me. 22:21 Yahweh rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands hath He recompensed me. 22:22 For I have kept the ways of Yahweh, and have not wickedly departed from my Almighty. 22:23 For all His judgments were before me: and as for His statutes, I did not depart from them.

[The first of this chapter was almost word for word as spoken in 2 Samuel for it is talking of the same time. Look at how many times David gives Yahweh credit, 7 times Yahweh came through for David. I wonder if we had a clearer vision of what is happening daily in our lives how many times we should be giving credit to Yahweh for our very existance.]

(2Ki 18:19-22 KJV) And Rabshakeh said unto them, Speak ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest? 18:20 Thou sayest, (but they are but vain words,) I have counsel and strength for the war. Now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me? 18:21 Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him. 18:22 But if ye say unto me, We trust in Yahweh our Almighty: is not that He, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to Judah and Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?

[How like the enemy – to point to a good work and say it was an evil thing and has caused the problems. Hezekiah has destroyed the idols and restored worship to the temple where it would be directed to Yahweh not to idols.]

(2Ki 18:31-35 KJV) Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me, and then eat ye every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his cistern: 18:32 Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive and of honey, that ye may live, and not die: and hearken not unto Hezekiah, when he persuadeth you, saying, Yahweh will deliver us. 18:33 Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered at all his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria? 18:34 Where are the gods of Hamath, and of Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah? have they delivered Samaria out of mine hand? 18:35 Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of mine hand, that Yahweh should deliver Jerusalem out of mine hand?

[Here the enemy is saying that Yahweh is no greater than any of the gods of the countries around them. But do we remember that Yahweh had already defeated those very gods when they came out of Egypt. That man claims the same power does not make it true. We need to remember that Yahweh had already given notice of His will in this matter.]

(2Ki 19:12-19 KJV) Have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed; as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Thelasar? 19:13 Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivah? 19:14 And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of Yahweh, and spread it before Yahweh. 19:15 And Hezekiah prayed before Yahweh, and said, O Yahweh Almighty of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the Almighty, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth. 19:16 Yahweh, bow down thine ear, and hear: open, Yahweh, thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living Almighty. 19:17 Of a truth, Yahweh, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands, 19:18 And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them. 19:19 Now therefore, O Yahweh our Almighty, I beseech thee, save Thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art Yahweh Almighty, even Thou only.

[There are several times Yahweh has stated He has acted to save His people that the entire world might know of Him and know there are no others like Him. He alone makes alive! When we cannot see why certain ministries or individuals are helped, it is not for us who believe but for those who do not believe that a good work is wrot, or brought forth. Hezekiah knew the right path to follow and he hastened to the seat of all power with his pleas.]

(2Ki 19:32-37 KJV) Therefore thus saith Yahweh concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it. 19:33 By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith Yahweh. 19:34 For I will defend this city, to save it, for Mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake. 19:35 And it came to pass that night, that the angel of Yahweh went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. 19:36 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh. 19:37 And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword: and they escaped into the land of Armenia. And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead.

[Yahweh keeps His promises! It seems strange to me that men will risk their lives to depose a powerful person, and when done they flee and prosper not from the evil deed, yet others will come behind them and do it again with the same results. Yahweh uses just such to bring about His will, but that does not excuse the deed done. Those who pit themselves against Yahweh do not know Who they are fighting. Yet in some ways it seems we find ourselves fighting His will for us as we struggle with our free choice. Just because you can choose does not mean there will be no bitter pill to follow, just as the above example shows.]

(Job 13:13-16 KJV) Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will. 13:14 Wherefore do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in mine hand? 13:15 Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him: but I will maintain mine own ways before Him. 13:16 He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before Him.

[Job had it right. Even if Yahweh allows us to be killed we can trust it was the best outcome for us and that it serves His purposes. And is that not what we have agreed to: to serve Him all the days of our lives?]

(Psa 7:1-8 KJV) Shiggaion of David, which he sang unto Yahweh, concerning the words of Cush the Benjamite. O Yahweh my Almighty, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me: 7:2 Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver. 7:3 Yahweh O my Almighty, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands; 7:4 If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:) 7:5 Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah. 7:6 Arise, O Yahweh, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that Thou hast commanded. 7:7 So shall the congregation of the people compass Thee about: for their sakes therefore return Thou on high. 7:8 Yahweh shall judge the people: judge me, O Yahweh, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.

[Who else is there to trust? Yahweh is the judge of all and will judge each on their own merits. We can trust in His righteousness.]

(Psa 16:1-8 KJV) Michtam of David. Preserve me, O Almighty: for in Thee do I put my trust. 16:2 O my soul, thou hast said unto Yahweh, Thou art my Most High: my goodness extendeth not to thee; 16:3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight. 16:4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips. 16:5 Yahweh is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: Thou maintainest my lot. 16:6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. 16:7 I will bless Yahweh, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. 16:8 I have set Yahweh always before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

[Because David trusts Yahweh, Yahweh IS HIS RIGHT HAND! The right hand is the hand of power and we need to leave the power in the right hand.]

(Psa 25:1-5 KJV) A Psalm of David. Unto thee, O Yahweh, do I lift up my soul. 25:2 O my Almighty, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. 25:3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause. 25:4 Shew me Thy ways, O Yahweh; teach me Thy paths. 25:5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for Thou art the Almighty of my salvation; on Thee do I wait all the day.

(Psa 25:17-22 KJV) The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring Thou me out of my distresses. 25:18 Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins. 25:19 Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred. 25:20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee. 25:21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee. 25:22 Redeem Israel, O Almighty, out of all his troubles.

[Teach, lead, show, forgive all that we need when it is Yahweh doing the teaching, leading, and showing. When we learn His doings and follow His lead there will not be need of much forgiving.]

(Psa 31:1-5 KJV) To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In thee, O Yahweh, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in Thy righteousness. 31:2 Bow down Thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be Thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me. 31:3 For Thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for Thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. 31:4 Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for Thou art my strength. 31:5 Into thine hand I commit my spirit: Thou hast redeemed me, O Yahweh Almighty of truth.

[Yahweh is our righteousness, He is our strong rock, He is our defense, He is our strength therefore He will redeem His own.]

(Psa 44:6-8 KJV) For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. 44:7 But Thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us. 44:8 In Almighty we boast all the day long, and praise Thy name for ever. Selah.

(Psa 56:4 KJV) In Almighty I will praise His word, in Almighty I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

(Psa 71:1 KJV) In thee, O Yahweh, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.

(Psa 73:28 KJV) But it is good for me to draw near to Almighty: I have put my trust in the Most High Yahweh,.

(Psa 119:42 KJV  So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in Thy word.

(Psa 143:8 KJV) Cause me to hear Thy loving kindness in the morning; for in Thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul that I may declare all Thy works unto Thee

(Psa 144:2 KJV) My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and He in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

(Isa 51:4-5 KJV) Hearken unto Me, My people; and give ear unto Me, O My nation: for a law shall proceed from Me, and I will make My judgment to rest for a light of the people. 51:5 My righteousness is near; My salvation is gone forth, and Mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon Me, and on Mine arm shall they trust.

(Isa 57:13 KJV) When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that putteth his trust in Me shall possess the land, and shall inherit My set-apart mountain;

(Jer 39:17-18 KJV) But I will deliver thee in that day, saith Yahweh: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art afraid. 39:18 For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in Me, saith Yahweh.

(Heb 2:11-18 KJV) For both He that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren, 2:12 Saying, I will declare Thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the assembly will I sing praise unto Thee. 2:13 And again, I will put my trust in Him. And again, Behold I and the children which Almighty hath given Me. 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 2:16 For verily He took not on Him the nature of angels; but He took on Him the seed of Abraham. 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to Almighty, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. 2:18 For in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succour them that are tempted.

[As it has been in the past, is even so today, it will continue to be the truth of the matter:

ALL THAT TRUST IN YAHWEH AND IN YAHSHUA'S SHED BLOOD FOR REDEMPTION FROM PAST SINS SHALL BE SAVED!
