In That Day

August 22, 2010

[What has Yahweh promised in regard to ‘in that day’?]

(Exo 8:20-23 KJV) And Yahweh said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he cometh forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus saith Yahweh, Let My people go, that they may serve Me. 8:21 Else, if thou wilt not let My people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are. 8:22 And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am Yahweh in the midst of the earth. 8:23 And I will put a division between my people and thy people: to morrow shall this sign be.

[The first ‘in that day’ in scripture. How fitting it should be said in regards to the setting apart of the nation of Israel from those they live among. Did Yahweh ever say to His people, ‘go and study others to see how to worship me’? Did He say, ‘mingle with the peoples of the land and copy the way they live’? No He did not! Yahweh separates His sheep from those of any others.]

(Exo 13:3-7 KJV) And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand Yahweh brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten. 13:4 This day came ye out in the month Abib.

13:5 And it shall be when Yahweh shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which He sware unto thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, that thou shalt keep this service in this month.

13:6 Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to Yahweh. 13:7 Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters. 13:8 And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which Yahweh did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.

[In the day they celebrated the Exodus. And every year for all time we are to teach our young, and when applicable the elderly as well, about the great salvation from spiritual bondage Yahweh offers to all. We know there were those not of Israel who choose to attach themselves to Israel without entering into covenant with Yahweh. We still have them among us and some of them reach leadership authority, which is why a leader must be willing to live a righteous life 24/7, that their example will combat that of the mixed multitude who dilute the teachings of scripture.]

(1Sa 8:18 KJV) And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and Yahweh will not hear you in that day. 8:19 Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us; 8:20 That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.

[We do not call our chief ruler king, but president, never the less he does rule at our request. Therefore why do we complain to Yahweh for the oppression of government?]

(Isa 3:1 KJV) For, behold, Yahweh, Yahweh of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,

(Isa 3:24-26 KJV) And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty. 3:25 Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war. 3:26 And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground.

(Isa 4:1 KJV) And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

(Isa 13:12 KJV) I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

[I know some attach Zec 8.23 which speaks of 10 men to Isa. 4.1 but I do not see the connection except as both are seeking legitimacy. We know the scriptures were written without our chapters, verses, etc. so it should not seem strange that a subject take more than one chapter to reach a conclusion. In the day Yahweh takes His blessing from Israel, and Jerusalem in particular, this is what will be happening.

In that day males H376 will be so scarce they will be like gold, to be searched out and attached to, that a woman will not be ashamed because no man claims her as his.]

(Isa 10:12-27 KJV) Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when Yahweh hath performed His whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks. 10:20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon Yahweh, the Set-apart One of Israel, in truth. 10:21 The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty Almighty. 10:22 For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness. 10:23 For Yahweh Yahweh of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.

10:24 Therefore thus saith Yahweh Yahweh of hosts, O My people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.

10:25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction. 10:26 And Yahweh of hosts shall stir up a scourge for Him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as His rod was upon the sea, so shall He lift it up after the manner of Egypt. 10:27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

[The day will come when we also will see the punishment of those nations and leaders that have abused us, the punishment decreed by Yahweh.]

(Amo 9:8-11 KJV) Behold, the eyes of Yahweh Yahweh are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith Yahweh. 9:9 For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth. 9:10 All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us. 9:11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

[The day of judgment for the sinful kingdom[s?], except Yahweh will keep His covenant with Israel of old and rebuild as promised. Today we look to Israel to see where we are in time because they are the key.]

(Hos 2:19-23 KJV) And I will betroth thee unto Me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto Me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in loving kindness, and in mercies. 2:20 I will even betroth thee unto Me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know Yahweh. 2:21 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith Yahweh, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth; 2:22 And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel. 2:23 And I will sow her unto Me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not My people, Thou art My people; and they shall say, Thou art my Yahweh.

[We are not all of the blood line of the twelve tribes but through Yahshua, the gift of Yahweh, we all have the opportunity to be grafted into that nation if we so desire. None will be rebuffed except the disobedient and unbelieving.]

(Mal 3:16-18 KJV) Then they that feared Yahweh spake often one to another: and Yahweh hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared Yahweh, and that thought upon His name. 3:17 And they shall be Mine, saith Yahweh of hosts, in that day when I make up My jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. 3:18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth Yahweh and him that serveth Him not.

[The wonderful Book of Remembrance, how we all want to have our names engraved there. To at last be counted a jewel.]

(Mat 7:21-3 KJV) Not every one that saith unto me, Master, Master, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven. 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Master, Master, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

[Yahweh nor Yahshua never set aside the laws governing His kingdom. Many call on Him but refuse to obey Him citing their freedom from the law. Yes we are free from the laws consequences because Yahshua showed us that to live according to Torah sets us free from those consequences of law breaking. We are to live above the strict requirements because we love Yahweh and Yahshua and it is our delight and privilege to do so.

Kind of like when Mom asks us to sweep and we also dust just because it will please her. The dusting is necessary to good housekeeping, but she had not required it at that time. So let me remind all of us what James says.]

(Jas 4:17 KJV)  Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

[We should not need to be told, by others, that going the extra mile willingly is pleasing to Yahweh.]

(Luk 6:20-23 KJV) And He lifted up His eyes on His disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of Yahweh. 6:21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. 6:22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. 6:23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

[A disciple is one who follows the teachings of the leader. If you are following Yahweh and Yahshua’s teachings you are their disciple. Your day of rejoicing is sure to come.]

(Joh 16:21-24 KJV) A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. 16:22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask Me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My name, he will give it you.16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in My name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

[The disciples did see Him again. It is His desire that others of today should see Him in the lives we live, that we be true disciples to draw others to Him.]

(2Th 1:7-12 KJV) And to you who are troubled rest with us, when Yahshua shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not Yahweh, and that obey not the gospel of our Master Yahshua Messiah: 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of Yahweh, and from the splendor of his power; 1:10 When He shall come to be magnified in His saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. 1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our Yahweh would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the work of faith with power: 1:12 That the name of our Master Yahshua Messiah may be magnified in you, and ye in Him, according to the grace of our Yahweh and Yahshua Messiah.

[We can rest, be refreshed, when we gather together to reveal His truths that are being worked out in our lives. We are thankful for the testimony of the past, but to see that fruit coming forth today in the lives of believers is an even greater incentive to walk close to Him.

How close we walk now will determine how close we will be in the future.]

(2Ti 1:16-18 KJV) Yahweh give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain: 1:17 But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me. 1:18 Yahweh grant unto him that he may find mercy of Yahweh in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

[The day is coming in this country when to speak the truth of scripture will be considered a crime. There are laws already on the books, and currently being enforced in certain areas, that make citing certain scriptural rebukes, that can get you a jail sentence. They are named hate crimes, and aptly so for they rebuke and punish those who openly rebuke the sins Yahweh has called abominations. Those sins that are hated of the Most High and are a stink in His nose.]

(1Th 5:4-6 KJV) But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

[There is a song with the phrase, ‘He will come in His great majesty’, It is true, it is true, He will come. Are you ready to meet Him?]
